Im getting 18 in a crash cymbal to go with my 14, 16 and 20 dishes. Should I get accident medium term, the thin support, or crushed rock? I do not play rock, but do not know if I want a plate so hard and heavy rock and the accident, but idk. Your help appriciated thanks. PS I have 14 years giving concerts in what I am not yet. For a lower end but decent ride cymbal you can probably get it between $50 and $150. I have a zildjian zbt ride that cost me maybe 100 dollars. I recommend sticking with brand name cymbals like zildjian sabian or paiste rather than some cheaper unknown ones. And If you buy them used, on ebay or something, you can get some good deals.

I have a 14″ hi-hat, 16″ crash, 20″ ride (all paiste pst3) and a 20″ chinese and a 10″ splash (sabian XS20)
what should i get for my next crash and splash? and any suggestions for more cymbals and what kinds?
If you prefer Sabian cymbals, I would suggest a 14″ B8 Pro Thin Crash, because it’s sharply focused with a bright sound. For the splash, I would buy a B8 series 8″ for the solid blast of sound. Other suggestions for Sabian cymbals would be B8 Pro Medium 14″ hats, a 19″ Neil Peart Paragon China, and a 20″ HH Rock ride cymbal.
If you prefer Zildjian cymbals, I would purchase a 15″ A Custom Crash cymbal because it can be heard over the rest of the band. As for the splash, you can’t beat a 9″ K custom Hybrid splash for it’s sound, it doesn’t sound like a piece of tin! Other suggestions for Zildjian cymbals would be 14″ ZHT Mastersound hats, an 18″ China Low, and a 20″ K Custom Dry Ride.
